A Powerful, Multi-Step Cleaning Process
Step 1: Inspection
Upon arriving at your home, we will do a thorough inspection, including a UV light inspection, to assess the condition of the carpet and review your needs and expectations.
Step 2: Home Protection
After assessing the needs of the carpet, we will set up protective equipment to protect your walls, staircases, baseboards, hardwood floors, and even your yard.
Step 3:Vacuum
A very important and often over-looked step, vacuuming removes dry soil and dust from the carpet. This leads to a more effective clean, and quicker dry times.
Step 4: Pre-Spray
Depending on the needs of the carpet and request of the customer, we apply the highest quality, ultra safe, VOC-Compliant, green and environmentally safe carpet pre-spray to all carpeted areas. This emulsifies and breaks down the oily binders that keep soil attached to the carpet fibers. Heavier soiled and urine stained areas will receive additional pre-treatment as needed. All cleaning agents used in your home are approved by the Carpet & Rug Institute and are Green Seal Certified.
Step 5: Scrub with CRB
After letting the pre-spray dwell for a few minutes, we then will scrub it in with a Counter-Rotating Brush (CRB) machine. This scrubbing further activates the cleaning properties of the pre-spray, as well as agitating the soil and loosening it from the carpet fibers. Using a CRB has the added benefit of removing hair and any loose soil that vacuuming may have left behind.
Step 6: Rinse and Extract
This step is what is commonly referred to as “Steam Cleaning.” We use Hot Water Extraction through our truck mount cleaning system located in our van. This saves us from cluttering your home with portable equipment, as we only need to bring in two hoses. Our truck mount units are high quality and extremely powerful to maximize removal of soil and moisture from your carpets. We also take additional dry passes to extract more moisture for quicker dry times. This method of cleaning is recommended and required by many carpet manufacturers for warranty purposes.
